I am done with the Harry Potter series!
Funny thing, it took me a week to read the first half of this book and not even two days to read the second. Go figure, huh?

It wasn't too bad. I liked it better than Half-Blood Prince, that's for sure.
Anyway;

This book pleased me in some ways and depressed me greatly in others.

Harry wasn't as bad in this book as I was kind of expecting him to be. I liked how he didn't go on any screaming tangents because CAPSLOCK HARRY IS PAINFUL TO READ. His little Hallow discovery was incredibly amusing. I swear, that kid was about to have an orgasm when he found out that the Resurrection Stone must've been in the Snitch. "IT'S IN HERE!!!!" Yay! :D

Ron on the other hand was pretty bad. I'm sorry for those who like him and butcher me all you like, but I really disliked him in this book. He was a complete douche when he decided to ditch Harry and Hermione and then comes back later with a "LOL I felt bad!" *facepalm*
Then he was totally whipped by Hermione so he could earn her forgiveness and stay on her good side. What a man~

Remus and Tonks got married...after - what was it - two months? W.T.F. Am I the only one bothered by this? I already ranted about my confusion and - for the lack of a better word - dense-ness of the pairing, but I'd be scratching my head at this even if I did support. Isn't that a bit rushing things? Wow.

Speaking of Remus, he made me a bit depressed in this book for a while. When he asked Harry to take him along for the journey, I got flashes of Sirius from the fifth book before he died. You know, the whole trying to relive what he's missed and looking to Harry to almost be a replacement for James. It was so sad. ;o;
But then he became the proud daddy when Teddy was born, smiling and, I'm sure, bouncing around the room. Then the random question to Harry "You'll be Godfather, right!? :DDDD" So cute♥

Snape was amazing. I love the idea of tiny Snape stalking tiny Lily and getting jealous over James. I'm an avid James/Lily supporter, but even I admit that the crush was insanely adorable.

Luna + Xenophilius = ♥ I can't say much more. I couldn't stop giggling when Luna was getting excited at the wedding after being bitten by a gnome. XD WONDERFUL!!! That's an awesome father/daughter relationship.

Then the heartbreaking deaths of well...EVERYONE! D: Jesus Christ, at least one character died in almost every chapter. I mean, JKR even killed off Hedwig and Dobby! ;-; WRYYYYYY!? That was horrible to read.
All of them were.

Except Voldemort. lolz n00b.

But really. OVER 50!? Holy crap! I'm still depressed over them all.

Harry's death still confounds me. He dies and gets better!? Seriously!?

Nothing was as bad as that Epilogue, though. Whoa. I'm going to pretend it didn't happen. I'm amused that Draco is balding and Harry fails at naming his children, but ALL IS NOT WELL DAMMIT!

It was okay. Not the worst, but definitely not the best. I can't honestly say that I'm satisfied with the ending, but really, it's either accept it or look to fanfiction for consoling. I prefer the latter. There can be porn. ;]

I was planning on re-reading The Prisoner of Azkaban or starting on The Golden Compass, but alas! [livejournal.com profile] break4angels had to lend me The Amulet of Samarkan of the Bartimaeus Trilogy.

lol, she's been trying to get me to read that series for months and just lent it to me one day. Got no excuse, now, huh?

But not now. I'm in the mood for Persona. though I should stop slacking off on my homework
Later! :D

Love your music.

I have that book.^^ I haven't read it yet since I'm trying to get through my books I need to read list. I borrow too many of my brother's... >.>; But it's coming up soon. Probably after I finish DragonLance: The Annotated Chronicles. Of course that means putting off my re-reading of the Artemis Fowl series... Decisions, decisions...

Thank you! :D

My reading list just keeps on growing. I keep getting books recommended to me. Not that I'm grateful or flattered, but dang, it was hard enough to finish these with school and life getting in the way. D:

I heard about Dragon Lance once before. What's it about? =o
Artemis Fowl♥

Well, porn's everywhere. A friend of mine just showed me some Persona 3 shounen-ai bordering on porn and I swear...I haven't squealed and giggled as much as I did in quite a while. My sore throat is even more sore.

Prisoner of Azkaban was definitely the best. Not argument, here. Chamber of Secrets comes in close behind, though.
I wanted to buy the series when I read it, y'know? It's not that expensive. Maybe $28 for all three books at Borders, but [livejournal.com profile] break4angels just randomly said last week that I had to read it and thrust the first book into my hands. Trying to make a point? XDD

I also finally finished my copy during my huge roleplay slum-time. Took me a whole night and I gotta say I like the way Rowling wrapped it all up. And Harry died as I predicted he should and Voldy dies (he is overdue for it) but the twist is so totally unexpected.

The other character deaths, the angst, the drama, the hope, secret history, and the future. Wonderful little bits to make up an ending that satisfied me. Thinking back, I'm glad I got into this series, although I still seriously dislike Order of Phoenix and Half Blood Prince.

I didn't mind Order of the Phoenix that much, but Half-Blood Prince was the one I can't ever read again. It read more like a angsty teenage love drama than Harry Potter. D:

But I agree. The series was good and it was fun to read for the most part. 8]

Hiii Selly! *adds*
