Dear LJ,
Screw you. Screw yourself hard with your goddamn double standards.
You disgust me.
kthxbai! :D
I'm at awe, really. LJ's logic has completely confused and shocked me to the point where I can't even properly word it.
"Erotica is bad, but promoting self-destructive behaviour is A-OKAY!"
Yeahhhhh! >D Instead of writing pr0n about fictional characters, let's all go be anorexic and starve ourselves to death because it can send us down the path to HEALTH! WONDERFUL
On a different and more enjoyable note;
I'malmost done FINISHED with Order of the Phoenix! shut up!
I took a month and a half break for summer school, but I've been reading it the past couple of days and am down to the last four chapters. I don't wanna read 35, but I'll cope.
I'm just greatly amused by how Sirius and Remus act like a couple in this freaking book. Joint presents!? Sirius being whipped to the max!? ILU ♥
And...there's a chapter with marauder-era!James, Sirius, Remus, Peter, Lily, and Snape.
SDA;FKHADJH WHY DID I STOP READING THIS BACK WHEN I FIRST STARTED!?
EDIT: Now I remember. I miscounted it was 5 chapters.
Anyway, finished the book just a few minutes ago and I was right! I didn't want to read chapter 35+ onward. XD
Aside from Sirius' death which literally killed me to read, it was Harry's teenage angst that made me want to stop reading during chapter 37. That chapter dragged so much...
Okay, he just witnessed Sirius' death, was tricked by Voldemort, Dumbledore was revealing secrets to him about who he was, he learned he was either going to kill Voldy or he was to be killed himself --- he had a lot on his plate, but man...calm the heck down. He wanted Dumbledore to pay attention to him and talk to him - tell him what the heck was going on - , but when he does, He didn't want to hear it. He wanted to be understood, but yelled at Dumbledore when he tried to understand. Geezus! x.x
I'm not ranting because I don't like Harry. I tolerate him, but he's far from my favourite character. His 'play-hero' attitude's a little aggravating to deal with and he just never really warmed up to me.
Aside from the Weasley Twins, I didn't get really attached to any of the characters until Prisoner of Azkaban when Sirius and Remus came into the picture. Though, Riddle wasn't half-bad.
Anyway, I'm not too excited to read Half-Blood Prince, but I'm going to later on today. Or start it, at least. I heard too much about the forced Harry/Ginny romance in the book and before I read Order of the Phoenix, I would've totally been cool with it. I don't like the idea of them, anymore. At all.
I actually adore Harry/Luna and a little bit of Harry/Hermoine.Oh, leave me alone! He has better chemistry with both of those two, especially Luna. And, I admit, I kind of melt during the small Harry/Hermoine moments much more than Ron/Hermoine. That pairing also does very little for me.
My Harry Potter OTP has proven to be Sirius/Remus with this book, now. I saw it when I read Prisoner of Azkaban, but now I'm incomprehensible with glee whenever I read anything with them in the books.
Remus is such a deep character who has layers upon layers of details that I instantly fell in love with him. Sirius is just too cute for words. I just devour every scene where one or the other, or BOTH, are in.
It's just so sad since you know what's going to happen. ;_; Oh, the TRAGEDY!
But alas! I ramble! I'll leave to read Half-Blood Prince a bit later, but later. I got the biggest craving to read some Marauder!era or OotP!era Sirius/Remus stories. Mostly the former as too much angst tends to drive me insane. XDD
All my HP thoughts are hidden under the cut for those who don't particularily want to read my thoughts/spoilers(or lackof) or just have a dislike for the series in general. 8]

Date: 2007-08-08 07:49 pm (UTC)OotP is the longest in the series, right? I don't think any of the others actually make it to 800+ pages. Really, heavy reading for kids FTW? x.x
They're horrible, but they don't bug me anymore. XD Ditto, I was more amazed by the sheer number of deaths than who died. Granted, I was upset when I heard about Remus and Fred, but it just sounds so incredible! @_@
