Sheik has always been a girl... Sheik first appears in Ocarina of Time (N64) and is shown to be Princess Zelda in disguise towards the end of the game.

Yes, it's true that Sheik is Princess Zelda. I don't deny that fact, but Sheik was not a girl in Ocarina of Time. Zelda disguised herself as a man to hide herself from Ganon using the Triforce of Wisdom.

Sheik is supposed to be a man. Not only that, but even Ruto claimed that a "young man named Sheik" saved her from under the ice in Zora's Domain.

I've played the game enough times to be sure of that much.

And please, I'd really appreciate not hiding behind an anonymous name to make your point. This was plain rude.

I was so happy when they announced Sheik is back. But yea, that screencap made me lol. I just gave up at trying to decide if I liked Sheik more as a guy or girl.

My judgement: Zelda is a girl, Sheik is a guy thats sometimes a girl when Nintendo feels like it. 8|

Yeah, if you go to Zelda's page on the official Smash Bros site, you'll see her move list read "Down+B: Transform" and left it at that until last night.

But no Shiek in TP is the reasoning behind all of the panic I heard about, which is kind of silly since Nintendo is like any other company: lazy. There's no sense in making a brand new move when you can reuse stuff from the old game, I think all of the "clone" characters in Melee proved that.

I was just a little sad when I didn't see Sheik, but Ike alone was enough to make me not really mind too much. Oh my god, the clones. Haha, I didn't actually notice some of them were clones (Captain Falcon and Ganondorf) until my brother and I used them against each other. Even their stances are the same. @_@

I don't really watch the news much, either. My brother is pretty devoted to getting every bit of new info and I was putting groceries away when he goes "Oh, did you know Sheik is in Brawl? :D"
It's not that I don't have time for console game (lol...), but I haven't really been in the mood. I have more fun playing console games when I'm around other people. Kind of like, I wanna share the experience with another, even if it's one-player. :[
