Thoughts on Half-Blood Prince

I FINALLY FINISHED IT!
Didn't take me as long as Order of the Phoenix, but I still slacked all the same. 8/


I'm pretty indifferent on this one.

I liked all the parts with Snape and the few moments with Fred and George and Remus (As well as fun with Riddle! :D), but that was just about it. Harry really irritated me throughout a lot of the book and the forced romances, especially.

Why is JKR hooking everyone up?

On top of that, I only support one of the couples she did. That was Bill/Fleur. They were cute in the end, especially with Fluer sticking up for not only her own, but Bill's feelings. And her accent = ♥
Sorry, I'm a Fluer fan. XD

The moments with Ron/Hermione were exasperating, at best, for me. Their occasional arguments were kind of humourous before, but now it just felt like overkill.

Harry/Ginny...urgh, I DON'T GET YOU! All of a sudden Harry's got a crush on Ginny and can't stop thinking about her. Enjoying those wet dreams, Harry? :D When the heck did that happen!? This is just so boring.

And now we've got Remus/Tonks. This is another that makes no sense to me. I like Tonks, I really do, but JKR turned her into a love-sick puppy. She was adorable in Order of the Phoenix! She's one of those characters that I appreciate enough that I don't need to see them paired up with anyone. She's totally fine alone. That and I'm an avid Sirius/Remus supporter. :D
But was I the only one who thought the whole 'confronting Remus on my feelings' was a little...out of place considering the events? Dumbledore's dead and everyone's freaking out over what's happening and what's going on, Bill's freaking bleeding in the bed, and Fluer's kind of pissed with Molly for doubting their marriage again and then Tonks turns on Remus going "SEE!? Now why can't you be like that!? Love me!!!!"

I kind of wanted to see Remus go "wtf, no! FOCUS!"
...Tonks...I expected better from you. /8

Now I want some Harry/Hermione or Harry/Luna fics. Or MOAR Sirius/Remus. Recs plzkthx? :]

Speaking of Luna.
I was really hoping for some more Luna moments, but that didn't happen either. Though her Quidditch commentary was cute!
I admit, I really did get all fangirly when Harry asked Luna to Slughorn's Christmas party. I was expecting him to ask Ginny, but Luna? Gaahhhh~♥

But you know? Even though I knew about the ending, I didn't get so sad over Dumbledore's death as much as I thought I would've. He's awesome and all, but it only just bought down my night a bit, that's all. :/

And then the Harry angst, again. Not as bad as Order of the Phoenix's CAPSLOCK ANGST, but close. He seemed to angst a lot in this one, though.

All in all, Half-Blood Prince really disappointed me. I heard this was probably the worst one in the series, but I thought that was a little bit of an exaggeration, at first.
Goes to show what I think, huh? XD


Next up is Deathly Hallows!
Might take me a bit longer what with school just started yesterday and my applying for a part-time job. Not counting my learning to drive and assisting my mom in her job.

I'll probably re-read Prisoner of Azkaban or start The Golden Compass once I finish that.

but anyway, I'm going to go to bed! :D

Luna Lovegood is very very cute. :> Although I never cared for any of those Hogwarts kids (Been a Snape fan since Book #2....for some reason :D) I was more fond of Luna than any other character.

The whole Ron and Hermoine bickering is so tiresome. :\ And all the nonsensical romance. Was it not like a teen trash novel? (Like, those Gossip Girl series or something, ick.)

Reread Prisoner of Azakaban cuz it is the best.Harry Potter.Book.EVAR.

I also made up an alternate V.V.:
-He loves peaches.
-He is almost always cheerful.
-He talks about himself in third person.
-And he smacks anyone who tries to take his peaches with a wooden ruler made of oak.And very violently so.
...What?It was funny to see my friend's reaction when I told her about my alternate V.V.XDD
